This month we spoke with German outdoor and travel photographer, Michael Kagerer, about how he started, what keeps him exploring, and where he is headed next.
How did you get started traveling and taking nature photography?
"When I was in high school, I already spent more time in the forest than in front of the TV so I’ve always loved being in nature. I later went on a 5 month road trip to New Zealand and fell in love with taking pictures of my adventures."
What keeps you exploring?
"I can’t stay at home for a long time. I have something inside me that always strives for new adventures & places. It's like a drug."
What is some advice you wish you had known when you started?
"That you have to make some mistakes to learn & get better."
Where to next?
"Somewhere tropical!"
